The Day My Parents Created a Mini-Monster

This is not a direct quote.  This is also not a laughing matter.  This is a very serious post.  If you can't handle that, please see THIS or THIS or THIS.

If you have experienced the above, I encourage you to visit the best blog for Adult Children of Divorce.  I say it is the best because it is objectively the most amazing and intelligent resource in existence about the topic, and not because I wrote it.  It is super serious and not funny, unless you enjoy laughing at the misery of others.

Boyfriend Loves Me Just the Way I Am

It is tough being a lady.  No matter how hard I try to tame my hair at night, I wake up and find a poof atop my head.   Must do all these things...

When boyfriend is hungry, he decides to let me know that he loves me just the way I am.  He cannot bear to watch me do my hair or paint my nails.  He thinks I am even prettier without any makeup, he said so.  The first outfit I throw on, is the prettiest thing he has ever seen.  Before we leave the apartment for food, I decide to look in the mirror again.  No, no, no, he says, stomping his foot as he patiently sits on the couch.  He insists that I stop putzing around immediately, my natural perfection is mesmerizing.
